Box Hill Centre |
The Box Hill Centre was established in 1990 at St Peter's Anglican Church Hall, Box Hill and is one of the founding Centres of the Celestial Tai Chi College of Australia, and since then it has grown into a strong, reputable and popular Centre.
The students have always been at the heart of the Centre, and are of all ages and culturally diverse backgrounds, from all walks-of-life, keen to learn the skill of Tai Chi and enhance their health, or engage in deeper understanding and practice of soft marshal arts. Many of those who joined years ago are still loyal and keen practitioners, enjoying the benefits of gentle exercise and its insightful philosophies. They often share with us their unique experiences and stories of how Tai Chi practice and thought have touched and transformed their life. |

Ashburton Centre |
The Ashburton Centre holds its classes at 10am on Saturday mornings at the Ashburton Primary School Hall, Fakenham Street, Ashburton. Because this is a day class, some Tai Chi tuition is held outside on the school oval and quadrangle, if the weather is fine.
The Centre not only caters for students in the local community but also for students in the the wider community who may not able to attend an evening class for various reasons, and has students who come from the whole Melbourne area. Anyone is invited to come and visit the Centre at any time and Beginner classes start every 7 weeks. This is a well-established Centre and students are not only being instructed in the Traditional 108 Movement Yang Style Tai Chi but also in a variety of Weapon routines. This is possible because the Centre has the following instructing staff: Senior Instructor Margaret Rogers, Instructors Yvonne and Noel Schmidt, Assistant Instructors Dianne Cummings and Anna Yeow, and Trainee Instructors Chee Wah Khew, Sally Fisher and Pavla Rada.
